Big Freedia Introduces Beyoncé At New Orleans Concert

She came to slay!

Legendary queer rapper Big Freedia introduced Beyoncé to a crowd of thousands at the Superdome this weekend, kicking off the singer's Formation World Tour performance in New Orleans.

"What's up New Orleans? Did you come to get slayed or what?" Freedia yelled to the massive stadium as "Formation" began playing.

The New Orleans native's voice is heard on the original track's introduction, but on Saturday night, she delivered it live.

"I did not come to play with you hoes," she declared. "I like cornbread and collard greens. Slay! Slay! Slay! Are you ready New Orleans? The one and only!"

Freedia was dressed in the iconic "Formation" uniform, a monochromatic black Victorian bodysuit with a gold belt and wide brim hat. She told NOLA.com that her cameo was planned last-minute but Queen Bey still managed to thank her before the show.

"When I hit the stage, my heart was pounding," said Freedia. "Right right before I came onstage, (Beyoncé) gave me a little kiss on my hand, and I just died on the steps. It was very special for me tonight and special for me to represent New Orleans and represent the queen who holds it down."
