Bill Paxton died suddenly on Saturday at the age of 61 due to complications from surgery.

The actor reportedly suffered a fatal stroke after undergoing heart surgery, according to TMZ.

Paxton, who appeared in films like Titanic and Twister, was currently starring in the new cop drama Training Day on CBS.

The actor is survived by his two children and his wife of 30 years, Louise Newbury.

"Bill’s passion for the arts was felt by all who knew him, and his warmth and tireless energy were undeniable," a family representative said in a statement. "We ask to please respect the family’s wish for privacy as they mourn the loss of their adored husband and father.”
