“Billy on the Street” Is Coming Back to Terrorize More City Dwellers

But where's Elena?!

Billy Eichner is back to terrorize unsuspecting city dwellers.

Last year, Eichner announced he was putting his pop culture quiz show, Billy on the Street, on hold for a bit after five years on TruTV.

Now the out actor-comedian has announced that Billy on the Street will return for a new season, consisting of eight short-form episodes with appearances from celebrity guests including Tiffany Hadish, Emma Stone, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Kate McKinnon.

The new episodes will be available to watch on all of Eichner’s social media accounts, as well as the Billy on the Street YouTube page, and Funny or Die’s social media and website.

Here is Eichner’s announcement on the new season:

I’m back to heal the country … and the world! After 5 seasons of the TV series, I knew I wanted to set the show aside in order to create some time in my schedule to pursue other projects. Now that those are taking shape, I’m truly thrilled we’ve found a way to bring Billy on the Street back that makes so much sense for this particular show. As we all know, this is a very divisive, anxiety ridden time and I hope these new segments — featuring the most stunning roster of guests we’ve ever had — give people a small burst of joy in their timelines while allowing me to comment on culture and the world at large in the unique way this show allows me to.

We are excited about new episodes of Billy on the Street, but Elena better be back when the new season premieres.

No word on when the new episodes will drop, but if you need an Eichner fix, catch him on American Horror Story: Apocalypse, premiering September 12 on FX.

I write about drag queens. Dolly Parton once ruffled my hair and said I was "just the cutest thing ever."
