Billy Porter Shuts Down Donald Trump Jr. for Trying to Use His Grammys Look to Throw Shade

He tried it.

Everyone took notice of Billy Porter's sickening Grammys look, including Donald Trump Jr., who somehow thought it would be a good idea to use it for his own devices. That was a mistake.

President Trump and his Republican lackeys in the Senate have been trying to deflect from his high crimes and misdemeanors by pointing out that Joe Biden's son Hunter landed a job with a Ukrainian gas company. That is somehow being framed as more problematic than Trump's attempt to get the president of Ukraine to investigate the Bidens for his own political benefit in exchange for military aid.

"Politician’s [sic] kids are off limits...even 50 year old Corrupt Hunter Biden," Trump Jr. wrote on Twitter, followed by "Me:" and a video of Porter on the red carpet, his cowboy hat fringe slowly opening to reveal his face.

Porter, in no mood to allow Jr. to co-opt his fierceness, clapped back with his own video of his glorious red carpet moment, this time with the fringe closing and Porter turning to walk away.

"When our corrupt President’s (@realDonaldTrump) corrupt son (@DonaldJTrumpJr) uses your fierce #Grammy look to try and throw shade," Porter's caption read.

He paired this with a pertinent bit of audio: Taylor Swift's "You Need to Calm Down,"—for which he appeared in the music video—obviously mocking Jr. for using the "cop out" of talking trash in a tweet.

And THAT, Mr. President's son, is how you properly throw shade.

You may be seated.
