Fresh off turning the Golden Globes into his own runway, Billy Porter is delivering an inspirational message for 2019 with a song he wrote 20 years ago.

"I wrote this song back after Columbine years and years ago," says the Pose star in the introduction of the song. "And I came across it a couple of months ago, and I realized the sentiment is still necessary today. We gonna teach y'all to love the pain away."

The video was created as part of YouTube personality Michael Korte's "One Take" series. You may recall Porter's Pose costar MJ Rodriguez's one take of Diana Ross' "Home."
