Blair St. Clair Takes Flight In Emotional Music Video “Now Or Never”

The "RuPaul's Drag Race" queen has turned personal trauma into triumph.

Blair St. Clair is no longer sitting on the secret of her debut single and music video.

Following her elimination in this week's episode, the young RuPaul’s Drag Race season 10 queen has released “Now or Never,” a self-empowerment anthem about taking control of your own destiny.

"This is a song about living in the black and white haze of my past experiences and emotions and the road I’ve chosen in taking flight to find the color in the beauty of life’s reality," Blair writes on Instagram.

"You have the power to take negative situations, emotions, and feelings and make them something beautiful."

In the video, directed by Brad Hammer and Shawn Adeli, Blair plays a midcentury housewife who kicks her hooch habit and abusive husband (underwear model Max Emerson, naturally) to the curb. After a near-death experience on a Blair St. Air flight—hey, Jinkx Monsoon and Manila Luzon!—she has a technicolor Pleasantville breakthrough.

"I’ve come undone but now I’ve pulled myself together," she sings. "And I’m breaking free to fly because it’s now or never."

The song's lyrics and video were inspired by Blair's powerful revelation on the Drag Race runway that she had been sexually assaulted prior to entering the competition.

"I never thought it was something I’d bring up," the 22-year-old Indiana native tells EW. "That day, I don’t really remember talking because it came from the heart and not from anywhere else."

"It’s my job now to be able to change one life at a time... it is my job to be that voice and that person to offer love back to individuals who are reaching out to me that share the same story."
