Design duo The Blonds launched their 2016 fall/winter collection at New York Fashion Week, as insiders crowded Milk Studios to watch real-life couple David and Phillipe Blond debut 21 new looks.
As always, the show kicked off with a jaw-dropping runway walk by Phillipe, who modeled the collection’s pink Marilyn Monroe bow corset.
In search of a stylish couple to guide us around backstage, we recruited Drag Race star Milk (Dan Donigan) and his boyfriend, James Whiteside.
“Backstage is no joke! Thankfully I have some long limbs so no one was safe from the microphone,” Milk told us.
James was equally impressed, telling us, “Not only are the garments on fire—but the room is crackling with vitality.”
We let the duo loose backstage to kiki with everyone from the models and the show’s glam team to the Blonds themselves to find out what really goes into turning out one of the most highly-anticipated shows of New York Fashion Week. Check it out!
