This week has not been shamazing for the Fab Five.

On Wednesday the cast for the latest season of ABC's Dancing With the Stars was announced, and among the celebs competing for the mirrorball trophy are Queer Eye culture guru Karamo Brown and former White House press secretary Sean Spicer.

Spicer, we should remind you, repeatedly lied to the American public while he worked for the Trump administration.

After the cast announcement, Brown spoke with Access Hollywood about Spicer's casting and how he had been talking with him "all day," adding that Spicer was a "good guy, really sweet guy."

"People would look at us and think that we're polar opposites," Brown continued. "But I'm a big believer that if you can talk to someone and meet in the middle, you can learn about each other and help each other both grow."

Fans wasted no time dragging Brown and his defense of Spicer, so much so that the Queer Eye star ended up deleting his Twitter. His fellow Fab Fivers stayed quiet on the topic, except for Bobby Berk, who published a series of tweets defending his co-star, explaining that Brown had just gone into "media training" mode, because they were taught not to "talk smack" about anyone.

“Everything around us is constantly too political as it is,” Berk said in his tweets. “Shame on you ABC for now making this beloved show political by casting one of the biggest liars who has ever been... It’s called Dancing with the STARS and the fact that you’re calling him a star is disgusting.”

But Friday morning, after Berk's comments went viral, the interior designer deleted his tweets. The New York Post notes that it's "unclear" why Berk deleted the tweets, but it's safe to be assume he didn't want to add fuel to the fire.

Political drag queen Marti Gould Cummings, who was blocked by Brown on Twitter after Cummings called him out for his "good guy" comments, spoke with NewNowNext via email about how she hopes Brown quits DWTS over the casting controversy:

I am all about giving people a road to redemption and forgiving people because as human beings we all make mistakes. However, someone like Sean Spicer has never apologized and continues to stump for Trump and this administration. He lied, gaslit, and actively worked for an administration that promotes bigotry and hate. Karamo blocked me when I called him out for his comments saying Spicer is a "good sweet guy." I think Bobby is right in saying ABC should not give a platform to Spicer, and I hope Karamo does the right thing and walks away from this gig. I hope all of the DWTS cast walks away from the show. There is no room for redemption to members of this administration, as the rights of so many are being rolled back and lives are at stake.

We will have to wait and see if Brown hangs up his dancing shoes before Season 28 of DWTS premieres September 16 on ABC.
