This Man Had An Amazing Response To Bosses Who Told Him To Take Off His Makeup At Work

"You can't tone down a masterpiece."

When Scott Laplanche was asked to remove his makeup while working his shift at England’s Currys PC World, he didn’t appreciate the request.

In a post on Facebook that quickly spread across the internet, the 20-year-old pointed out that his workplace doesn’t even have a makeup policy and that he had worked there nearly nine months without ever being asked to take it off.

But when the business underwent new management, he says that he was asked to remove the makeup, but refused, pointing out that his female colleagues wear more than he does. They then reportedly asked him to at least tone it down, to which he replied, “You can’t tone down a masterpiece.”

“This is 2017, a time of year where we celebrate Pride throughout summer, and I look hella hot, so deal with it!” he wrote in the post. “It’s wrong to blatantly discriminate for whatever reason that may be.”

According to the Independent, a spokesman for Currys PC World said that the incident was a misunderstanding at a local store that is being dealt with internally, adding, “Scott takes pride in his appearance and Currys PC World is proud of its diverse workforce.”
