The Newest Plastic Surgery For Men: Scrotal Botox

“Who wouldn’t want to be a little bit longer, thicker, or have...a better sex life?"

Nowadays, nearly every part of the body can get tightened, tweaked, perked and plumped through the wonders of plastic surgery.

While most procedures have become somewhat mundane over the years, a new trend is intriguing both patients and doctors alike—scrotox, or, Botox for the scrotum.

According to experts, interest in scrotox has doubled with male patients over the last year. The operation, which costs upwards of $3,600, allegedly helps ease sweating, lessens wrinkles and helps the scrotum to appear larger.

Mark Norfolk, clinical director for Transform in the UK, has noticed a huge rise in the number of men asking about the procedure.

“Over the past year, requests for scrotum Botox have doubled at Transform, showing the huge demand and interest for this procedure," he explained.

In spite of this demand, however, Transform refuses to offer scrotox, stating that the "possible risks and complications associated with treating this part of the body" are too high.

Norfolk also claimed that while the operation would help with sweating, it would do little to reduce wrinkles or enlarge the scrotum. To accomplish that, patients would need to have surgery.

“Patients should manage their expectations in terms of results," he concluded. "It could prove very costly and nerve-wracking to go through, for very little in return.”

Dr. Jason Emer, a surgeon based in Beverly Hills, disagrees and thinks scrotox is a natural response to vaginal rejuvenation.

“As the vaginal rejuvenation market is skyrocketing, men are seeking their own type of rejuvenation," he wrote in a recent article for Cosmetic Surgery Times.

“Who wouldn’t want to be a little bit longer, thicker, or have more sensitivity and a better sex life?"

Regardless of what doctors might say, it's clear that interest in this trend is only going to grow.
