A Guy Built Himself A Boyfriend Out Of Boxes Of Wine

We've had worse.

The search for love can be a long slog, so one artist-writer decided to take matters into his own hands: Michael James Schneider of Portland, Oregon, built himself a boyfriend out of boxes of wine.

“A couple years ago I had a rough breakup and self-medicated through wine,” Schneider, 44, told Mashable. “Though I’m over the breakup (and the copious consumption!) now I always thought it would be sad, funny, and a little sweet to make a companion from the empty cartons left over.”

“Franz” (short for Franzia, perhaps?) pops up in Schneider’s Instagram feed, posing with him in bed and out on a grocery run.

“We’re used to weird things in Portland,” Schneider told Metro, adding that Franz is a ” an idealized, loving, sweet boyfriend.” .

And you know he can hold his booze (literally).
