Boy George asks for Madonna's forgiveness in an interview in the November issue of Attitude, available on stands and online now.

A rival feud between the two cultural icons has been brewing since the late 80's, when George took every opportunity to put down a then-young and emerging Madonna in the press. "Comparing Madonna with Marilyn Monroe is like comparing Raquel Welch with the back of a bus," he once famously said.

But the 53-year-old Culture Club singer has changed his tune a bit in the last few years, playing nice with Madonna at private parties and recanting unkind things he's publicly said about her. "I wish I’d gone running with Madonna when she asked me 20 years ago," he told the Daily Mail in 2011.

When asked whether he would invite Madonna or Lady Gaga to a private party, George told Attitude:

"Oh, can’t I have both? That would be such a fantastic combination. Can you imagine?

They would both be circling the block making sure they weren’t the first to arrive. There was a fantastic party which happened in Paris a few years ago. Everyone was there, J-Lo, Puff Daddy – you name it. And I was there sort of looking on…Madonna and Prince, allegedly, spent about three hours circling the venue because they didn’t want to be the first to arrive out of the two of them.

I mean, I love Lady Gaga, but it would probably be Madonna if she could find it in her heart to forgive me. I have apologized a lot for the mean things I said about her."

We say settle it with a duet.
