Brad Pitt Is Kinda Super Underrated, As These 5 Movie Roles Prove

It's tough work being a superstar.

Brad Pitt is one of the few actors who is in that aspirational A-list pantheon, a pantheon that often has less to do with talent and more to do with mass market appeal. (What up Reese Witherspoon?)

The funny thing about Mr. Pitt however is, unlike his buds Matt Damon and George Clooney, he has never been able to grab an Oscar for his impressive body of work. And kids, it is impressive.

So, with World War Z about to hit theaters, we figured we would take a look at Brad's five most impressive performances. Five performances many may have missed, but performances that showcase what a truly outstanding actor Mr. Pitt is.

And we include World War Z because dude is killing it in this flick (Literally at times.), as is our girl Mireille Enos. (Again, literally. And on AMC weekly.)

So, without further ado, here is the Best of Brad, starting with World War Z above.

Kalifornia

Brad's first big break, not counting his supporting role in Thelma & Louise where he played the role of torso, was in this thriller, where he and then girlfriend Juliette Lewis played the sexiest serial killers of all time.

Se7en

Still director David Fincher's best film in our humble opinion, Pitt played a detective hunting a serial killer this time around, alongside then girlfriend Gwyneth Paltrow. What can we say, the guy has a thing for falling in love on set.

Sleepers

Pitt and every other member of the nineties boy club (Kevin Bacon, Billy Crudup, Ron Eldard and Jason Patric) starred in this amazing but little seen film about a group of childhood friends who take revenge on the men who abused them as youngsters.

Ocean's 11

The role Pitt was born to play.
