Breakout ‘Teen Wolf’ Star Dylan O’Brien To Star In ‘Maze Runner’ Adaptation

Dylan O'Brien
Just a few years ago, Dylan O’Brien was the new kid on the block: He had a couple of YouTube videos under his belt and just landed his first TV role as Stiles on Teen Wolf. No one knew what to expect from him.

Since then, O’Brien has become a fan favorite on TW and landed roles in movies like The First Time and The Internship. He’s even going to make a guest appearence on New Girl next week. In short, he’s shaping up to be one of the hottest new faces in Hollywood.

Don’t believe us? How about this: O’Brien is slated to star in the movie adaption of the YA sci-fi book series The Maze Runner next year.

The series (which includes three books and a prequel, The Kill Order) follows a group of teenage boys that have had their memories wiped and are left to survive in a mysterious zone known as the Glade.

O’Brien’s character, Thomas, is the newest arrival. But he’s not the only big name in the movie: Game of Thrones’ Thomas Brodie-Sangster and Skins’ Kaya Scodelario are also on board.

Should the first movie, which starts shooting next month, do well, it’s likely the whole series will be greenlighted for the screen. That sounds kind of familiar doesn’t it? Maybe kind of like The Hunger Games. No wonder Tumblr has been buzzing with excitememt.

Anyone else think Dylan O’Brien could be the next Jennifer Lawrence?
