You know how you kind of ignore when you hear a sequel, or in this case trequel (not a word, deal with it) is being released to a film that wasn’t that great? Well if you, like us, employed this helpful technique when you caught wind of Bridget Jones 3, bad news — it’s happening.
Now, to be fair, Bridget Jones Diary was an amazing movie and rightfully earned it’s leading actress Renee Zellweger an Oscar nom. The next film however, holy hell. There was Madonna dancing in prison and cocaine that was spilled and never snorted, it was just all wrong. Wrong, wrong, wrong.
So why oh why are we doing yet another Bridget Jones? I mean obviously Renee and Hugh Grant are probably up for work these days, but Colin Firth. That man is an AC-tor. He does not need this. Does not need this at all.
At least it cannot possible be worse than Bridget Jones: Edge of Reason. Right?
