Cheyenne Jackson Teases, and Neil Patrick Harris Does Cancun

  • Birthday shoutouts go to Javier Bardem Jeffrey Dean Morgan (above), who is 47, Charlotte Rae is 87, Jack Nicholson is 76, and John Waters is 67.
  • You have spoken! Last week I asked you which 80’s list I should begin this week, and almost 50% of you had the same reaction. So beginning tomorrow, I will be counting down the “50 HOTTEST HUNKS OF THE 80’S!”
  • If you’re on Facebook, you can now vote on who you think should be the RuPaul’s Drag Race Season Five Miss Congeniality. I’m voting for Ivy Winters.
  • Two musical passings to report. Richie Havens, who was the first performer at Woodstock, has died at the age of 72, and Christina Amphlett has died at the age of 53. Christina and her band Divinyls are best known for their 90’s smash “I Touch Myself,” but they also had one of the greatest lost hits of the 80’s with “Pleasure & Pain.”

  • I know a lot of you hated Halle as Storm, but I’ve always been perfectly fine with her in the role. But I’m not sure about this hairdo. It’s a little too Jackie Warner from Work Out for me.

  • Below you can see Cheyenne Jackson tease the new Amazon series Onion News Empire

  • Neil Patrick Harris attends the Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs 2 photo call in Cancun.

  • And here is in Cancun at the the photo call for Smurfs 2, with Hank Azaria and Katy Perry

  • And here’s The Weekly ShoutOUT™. Each week we’re going to focus on one out athlete/performer and feature a daily pic and career timeline. We’ll be showcasing the big names, but also the lesser-known gay celebs who deserve more recognition. This week we give a ShoutOUT to … Chad Allen. Chad was a hugely successful child star, with recurring roles on My Two Dads, Our House, and most notably, as autistic kid Tommy on St. Elsewhere. In the final episode, it’s revealed that the entire series occurred in Tommy’s imagination. Tomorrow – Chad hits the wild frontier! Here he is at age 20 at the premiere of Interview With The Vampire.

  • Congrats to aaron_stuk, who was the first to correctly guess that Friday’s Pixuzzle™ © ® was King Kong.

  • Here’s today’s Pixuzzle™ © ®. To celebrate our first full week as The Backlot, let’s change things up! We’re moving from films to … TV SHOWS! Here’s a pic from a famous TV show. Can you name it?
