And here’s The Weekly ShoutOUT™. Each week we’re going to focus on one out athlete/performer and feature a daily pic and career timeline. We’ll be showcasing the big names, but also the lesser-known gay celebs who deserve more recognition. This week we give a ShoutOUT™ to … Sam Harris.

Sam released his second (and final) Motown album Sam-I-Am in 1986, and the first single was the sadly overlooked “I’D Do It All Again”, which peaked at #52 in March.

We’re about to embark on what may be the most profound, essential, and in some ways … soul-scarring list we’ve ever done in Briefs. I give you … The 50 Greatest Kids Shows Of The 70’s and 80’s! Sit back and let the memories wash over you … the comforting yet oh-so terrifying memories.

At #48 is … Kidd Video

Airing on NBC Saturday mornings between September 15, 1984 – December 7, 1985, Kidd Video was about a teen rock band that warped into an alternate universe, and tried to escape while also performing mid-80’s pop music. The show would also feature snippets of current 80’s hits (“Electric Avenue, Beat It, etc.”), and would bookend with live-action performances from the band, which included Robbie Rist (yes, Cousin Oliver and Little John!).
