Briefs: The Carver Twins Win Halloween, "Glee" Twerks It Out, and the GOP Still Isn't Funny

Birthday shoutouts go to Ben Foster (above) who is 33, Brendan Fehr is 36, Winona Ryder is 42, and Rufus Sewell is 46.

We've had ... technical issues ... today, so this Briefs will be briefer than usual. But it's all GOLD.

TV Line has spoilers for the next three episodes of Glee, and let's just say ... twerking is involved.

The Jonas Brothers have officially broken up ... for now.

Why It's Wrong to Say It's Wrong to Say Shepard Smith Is Gay

I know Ed this in Meme yesterday, but in case you haven't seen it, this is spectacular. The Carver Twins as The Grady Twins from The Shining. Perfection

You know how everyone says Republicans just aren't funny, no matter how hard they try? Exhibit A.

Chris Crocker is the new face of American Apparel.

And here's The Weekly ShoutOUT™. Each week we're going to focus on one out athlete/performer and feature a daily pic and career timeline. We'll be showcasing the big names, but also the lesser-known gay celebs who deserve more recognition. This week we give a ShoutOUT™ to ... Elton John. Uncle Elton has certainly made some questionable decisions in his career (the latest being Sochi), but there's no denying that he is one of, if not the greatest musical artists of the last 50 years. So let's pay tribute this week by counting down his five greatest singles. At #4 is ... "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road," which peaked at #2 in 1973.

And now we have the 50 GREATEST LOST HITS OF THE 90'S! I've often ragged on the pop music of the 90's for being an arid desert devoid of fun, but there were bright spots, including these 50 songs, which should have performed better on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Like The 100 Greatest Lost Hits Of The 80's countdown, this list is very female-centric (what can I say, I like rock chicks), but hopefully, some of these pop gems may trigger a long dormant memory.

And now ... THE TOP TEN LOST HITS OF THE 90'S! At #10 is "Just Keep Me Moving/Hush Sweet Lover" by k.d. lang. Gus Van Sant's 1994 adaptation of Even Cowgirls Get The Blues was a colossal commercial and critical disaster, but it did give us a memorable (if experimental) soundtrack from k.d. Amidst the collection of instrumentals and off-the-wall novelties ("Don't Be A Lemming Polka") were two of the best songs of her career. "Just Keep Me Moving" was a slice of 70's funk, while "Hush Sweet Lover" was a graceful, gorgeous ballad. Neither song made the chart (in fact, k.d.'s only entry on the Hot 100 was "Constant Craving," and that only peaked at #38). TOMORROW'S CLUE - This English singer's name sounds like a Dungeons & Dragons character.

Congrats to No One! . Nobody guessed that yesterday's Pixuzzle™ © ® was Good Times.
