Briefs: Damian Lewis Vs. Sir Ian McKellen, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally Reunite, and "Happy Endings" Returns To TV!

Birthday shoutouts go to Sir Kenneth Branagh (above), who is 53, Bobby Flay is 49, Raven Symone is 28, Susan Dey is 61, and Gloria Loring is 67. In addition to siring Robin Thicke and singing The Facts of Life theme song, she also gave us one of the greatest duets of the 80's, which peaked at #2 in 1986.

Happy Endings is returning to TV! Calm down ... not with new episodes. VH-1 has announced that they've acquired all three seasons of the late, lamented series, and will air them starting with "a marathon of every episode beginning December 31 at 8 PM running through New Year’s Day before settling into its new home on Wednesday nights from 7-9 PM, beginning January 8."

Agnieszka Holland will direct NBC's four-hour miniseries remake of Rosemary's Baby. No word on casting yet.

Megan Mullaly and Sean Hayes will reunite on Sean Saves The World next year. Megan will play Sean's ... sister.

Jonathan Capehart: "Over the course of an hour, Russian journalist Masha Gessen put the fear of God into me about the peril facing lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people in Russia."

Oh Dear. So apparently Homeland actor Damian Lewis said this about what would happen if he didn't get out of theater: He “would be one of these slightly over-the-top, fruity actors who would have an illustrious career on stage, but wouldn't start getting any kind of film work until I was 50 and then start playing wizards.” Oh Dear. Well, Sir Ian McKellen has responded, and takes the high road ... because he's Sir Ian McKellen.

The documentary To Be Takei will debut at next year's Sundance Film Festival

Tell me I'm wrong.

Here's the teaser trailer for next year's Godzilla.

Looks epic, but I wish Godzooky was in it. Or better yet, Minya. he was so frickin adorable.

We showed you some of the best pics from Trevor Live, but here are a few more. First we have Darren desperately trying to control his "O" face. Nice try.

Oh Paula, bless your heart.

Naya is smokin'

And here's The Weekly ShoutOUT™. Each week we're going to focus on one out athlete/performer and feature a daily pic and career timeline. We'll be showcasing the big names, but also the lesser-known gay celebs who deserve more recognition. This week we give a ShoutOUT™ to ... Tuc Watkins. In 1999 Tuc starred in the underrated (and sadly short-lived) Showtime series Beggars and Choosers, as a closeted TV agent who memorably came out on air. Below you can see a clip from the show, as his character Malcolm is seduced by "straight" actor Jack, played by ... Bruce Campbell!

And now we have the TOP 50 SCI-FI/FANTASY FILMS OF THE 80'S! This was originally going to be a Top 25 sci-film list, followed by a Top 25 fantasy film list, but there was so much overlap (and it's difficult to differentiate between the two with some films), that I decided to combine both lists. At #32 is ... Excalibur

Helen Mirren is Morgana. Isn't that enough? How about early roles for Liam Neesen and Sir Patrick Stewart. Or Lancelot, played by Nicholas Clay, who gave us one of the greatest nude scenes ever in Lady Chatterly's Lover. John Boorman's take on the King Arthur legend did have its problems (some of it is unintentionally hilarious), but it's a visual mess (and that's a good thing), and it's a lot of fun to look for the future stars.

Congrats to No One! Nobody guessed that yesterday's Pixuzzle™ © ® was The Gong Show

Here's today's Pixuzzle™ © ®. Here is the cast from a famous TV show. Can you name it?
