Birthday shoutouts go to Chris Evans (above), who is 32, out Olympian Blake Skjellerup is 28 (and we’ll have more with Blake in next week’s Briefs), and Kat Dennings is 27.

Smash star Megan Hilty has joined the cast of Sean Saves The World, in which she’ll play Sean Hayes’ BFF.

I give it six months

Wait! So Playgirl was a … women’s magazine?

Jazz composer Terence Blanchard’s new opera Champion is inspired by gay boxer Emile Griffith.

Melissa McCarthy has responded to Myra Breckinridge star Rex Reed: “I felt really bad for someone who is swimming in so much hate. I just thought, that’s someone who’s in a really bad spot, and I am in such a happy spot. I laugh my head off every day with my husband and my kids who are mooning me and singing me songs.”

Via Towleroad comes this NSFW (Cracks!) ad for Barcelona bar BimBamBum. At least, I think it’s a bar. It might be a … sexy laundromat?

And here’s The Weekly ShoutOUT™. Each week we’re going to focus on one out athlete/performer and feature a daily pic and career timeline. We’ll be showcasing the big names, but also the lesser-known gay celebs who deserve more recognition. This week we give a ShoutOUT to … Nick Adams. In 2011, Nick scored his biggest role to date as Adam/Felicia in the Broadway production of Priscilla, Queen Of The Desert.

Now we have THE TOP 50 HOTTEST HUNKS OF THE 80’S! Please keep in mind that this countdown encompasses the whole of 80’s pop culture, from TV to Movies to Music, to miscellaneous. In other words … some of your favorites might not show up, because there’s just not enough room. But just consider this a sampling of some of the hot guys the 80’s had to offer!

At #13 is … Antonio Banderas. Aah … do you remember your first Antonio? Mine was Women On The Verge Of A Nervous Breakdown, one of the many collaborations with Pedro Almodovar during the 80’s that would catapult Antonio to stardom.

The 100 Greatest Lost Hits of the 80’s countdown is long over, but every Thursday we’re going to pay tribute to another 80’s song that should have scored higher on the chart. This week it’s “Shame” by The Motels. Martha Davis is a goddess (her solo album Policy is one of my favorites of the 80’s), and The Motels had a good run in the early to mid-80’s, scoring top ten hits with “Only The Lonely” and “Suddenly Last Summer.” “Shame” should have been another hit for them, but it peaked at #21 in September 1985, and was their final top forty hit.

Congrats to lazycrockett, who was the first to correctly guess that yesterday’s Pixuzzle™ © ® was Merlin.

Here’s today’s Pixuzzle™ © ®. Here are characters from a famous TV show. Can you name it?
