Briefs: Lifetime Grows “Flowers In The Attic,” Meet Samantha Jones, and Ricky Martin Is A Vision In White

Birthday shoutouts go to Paul Wesley (above), who is 31, Edie McClurg is 62, Woody Harrelson is 52, Philip Seymour Hoffman is 46, and Daniel Radcliffe is 24.

Sexting is one thing, but … “Carlos Danger?” I’m sorry, that’s unforgivable.

Flowers in the Attic and its sequels had a profound impact on me growing up (for starters, i’ve never eaten a powdered doughnut), and now comes word that Lifetime is preparing a TV movie adaptation, starring Heather Graham and Ellen Burstyn. Does anyone else remember the 80’s feature version, with Kristy Swanson and Louise Fletcher?

Ken Cuccinelli’s war on oral sex.

And here’s John Fugelsang’s take.

The Muppets welcome the new royal baby.

The CW has released the first pic of Lindsey Gort as Samantha Jones on The Carrie Diaries. Yep … I can see it.

Below you can see Robbie Rogers talk about his … fashion line?

Ricky Martin performs onstage during the Premios Juventud 2013 at Bank United Center in Miami, Florida.

And here’s The Weekly ShoutOUT™. Each week we’re going to focus on one out athlete/performer and feature a daily pic and career timeline. We’ll be showcasing the big names, but also the lesser-known gay celebs who deserve more recognition. This week we give a ShoutOUT to … Lance Bass. Lance made his film debut in the 2001 romantic comedy On The Line, as a man who … well, you can see the entire movie below, contained in the trailer.

Now, presenting … THE TOP 40 HORROR FILMS OF THE 80’S! Journey with me back to the birth of the Dead Teenager movie (actually, that began in the 70’s, so I guess it would be the Afterbirth Of The Dead Teenager Movie), the last gasps of the Italian Horror Masters, and the franchises that still continue today. Yes, your Freddy, Jason, and Michael will be represented, but I’m also going to pay tribute to the obscurities that deserve to be seen. At #26 is … Deadly Eyes

Rats: Night Of Terror was at #40 on the list, and here we have the Citizen Kane of 80’s killer vermin films. Ordinary sewer rats grow to grotesque size when they eat grain contaminated with steroids. How over the top is Deadly Eyes? The first victim eaten by the rats is … a baby in a highchair. We also get a nihilistic ending, and in one of my favorite 80’s movie anecdotes, the rats are actually … daschunds wearing rat costumes. Here’s a highlight. Woof!

Congrats to Pascal, who was the first to correctly guess that yesterday’s Pixuzzle™ © ® was Baywatch

Here’s today’s Pixuzzle™ © ®. Here are characters from a famous TV show. Can you name it?
