Briefs: James Franco's "Sal," David Bromstad's Splash Of Controversy, And Good News And Bad News For "Revenge"

Birthday shoutouts go to Stark Sands (above), who is 35, Marion Cotillard is 38, Basia is 59, Fran Drescher is 56, and Ezra Miller is 21.

HGTV star David Bromstad has responded on Facebook to the criticism he's received since announcing he's teaming up with the Salvation Army.

Why Drag Queens Are Better Role Models Than Disney Princesses.

In ratings news, Once Upon A Time was down 33% from last season's debut, but up 13% from last season's finale. Meanwhile, Revenge was down 25% from last season's debut, but up a whopping 41% from last season's finale (and it had to deal with the finale of Breaking Bad). And Betrayal was DOA.

Here's the official trailer for James Franco's Sal, with Val Lauren as Sal Mineo.

It's on its way! This should be interesting.

Daniel Radcliffe stopped by The Today Show and discussed that gay love scene in Kill Your Darlings.

Here's the new poster for Vampire Diaries, which returns Thursday.

And here's The Weekly ShoutOUT™. Each week we're going to focus on one out athlete/performer and feature a daily pic and career timeline. We'll be showcasing the big names, but also the lesser-known gay celebs who deserve more recognition. This week we give a ShoutOUT™ to ... Matthew Mitcham. 25-year-old Matthew became an instant icon with his triumphant gold medal victory at the 2008 Summer Olympics, while wearing his snug speedo and his heart on his sleeve. Below you can see the adorable Matt at a post-medal interview, with his mum and his partner Lachlan. Squee!

And now we have the 50 GREATEST LOST HITS OF THE 90'S! I've often ragged on the pop music of the 90's for being an arid desert devoid of fun, but there were bright spots, including these 50 songs, which should have performed better on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Like The 100 Greatest Lost Hits Of The 80's countdown, this list is very female-centric (what can I say, I like rock chicks), but hopefully, some of these pop gems may trigger a long dormant memory.

At #31 is ... "What Comes Naturally" by Sheena Easton. I was not a big fan of Sheena's conversion from pop chanteuse to Prince protege, but 1991's "What Comes Naturally" was one of her better post-transformation singles. Sadly, it would be the last time Sheena would hit the chart, peaking at #19 in July 1991.
