The Trailer For HBO's Debbie Reynolds/Carrie Fisher Documentary Will Break Your Heart

"That's what's good about losing your memory, there's so many surprises."

The documentary Bright Lights: Starring Debbie Reynolds and Carrie Fisher has taken on a whole new significance since the sudden passing of both stars last week.

The moving film played the festival circuit last year including a debut at Cannes and a special screening at the New York Film Festival that included a Q&A with Carrie Fisher, the directors of the doc and Debbie Reynolds literally phoning it in to the delight of the audience.

The film was scheduled to air on HBO sometime in 2017, but after the deaths of Reynolds and Fisher the cable net moved up the premiere date to this Saturday, January 7.

In the new trailer for the documentary witness first hand the intense bond and love the two women had for one another—even after all of their dramatic decades in the Hollywood spotlight.
