Britney Spears Dances Through Severe Ankle Injury, Cancels Weekend Shows To Rest
Our queen Britney Spears, a tried-and-true survivor, will be out of commission this weekend following a nasty fall she took on stage at Wednesday night's "Piece of Me" performance in Las Vegas.
In video obtained by TMZ, you can see the 33-year-old pop icon twisting her ankle and taking a major wipeout toward the end of her "Crazy" performance.
She took a seat for a brief moment to survey the pain and — ever the professional — hobbled back to her feet with the help of her dancers and continued performing "Till the World Ends."
Later that night, her doctors advised her to take some rest this weekend. She wrote on Instagram:
Slayney may be skipping her Saturday show, but the ankle injury certainly won't derail her upcoming releases.
Brit's new track with Iggy Azalea, "Pretty Girls," will drop May 5. Shortly after posting her injury update last night, she revealed the cover for the part futuristic/part throwback track on Instagram:
Slayyyyed! And get well soon, Britney!
