Israel Reschedules Election Because It Conflicts With Britney Spears Concert

No sense in competing with Britney, b*tch.

Israel has been forced to reschedule one of its party elections because it clashes with a Britney Spears concert.

The princess of pop is performing in Tel Aviv's Hayarkon Park for the first time ever on July 3, which is pretty major. It's such a big deal in fact that the country's Labor Party has had to ditch plans for an election it was going to have that day and reschedule it for another time.

Both events were arranged for July 3 in neighboring venues at Tel Aviv’s Exhibition Grounds conference and concert space.

However, when the political party tried to arrange security for the event, they were told there was none left as Spears had already booked almost all the security officials in the capital.

A party spokesperson confirmed the news to the Times of Israel, saying there had been "a difficulty in recruiting security guards" for the election.

He added that moving the date of the primary election would "make it easier for people to reach polling stations," because of the heavy traffic expected in the city.

Though the party didn't mention the "Toxic" singer by name, they did address the situation in a statement: "The election date was delayed by one day due to the fact that there is a major event at Yarkon Park on July 3, 2017."

They've yet to confirm if they'll be in attendance at the queen's performance.
