Red-Hot Highlights From "Broadway Bares 2017: Strip U"

The 27th annual fundraising event raised $1,568,114 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Broadway Bares celebrated its 27th anniversary this Sunday with a rousing concert featuring electrifying dance numbers performed by 181 of the sexiest male and female dancers in New York City.

This year's edition of the burlesque-style fundraiser invited audience members to Strip U, a fictional university where the curriculum includes chemistry, feminist studies and, of course, plenty of titillating striptease.

The evening featured 10 unique numbers showcasing the different aspects of university life, ranging from the sexy posing of nude models in art class, to a scantily-clad frat party all the way to an illuminating psychology lecture on the power of puppy play.

Director-choreographer Jerry Mitchell started the Broadway Bares fundraiser in 1992 in response to the AIDS crisis and its devastating effect on the Broadway community.

Adding in this weekend's gross of $1,568,114, the 27 editions of Broadway Bares have raised more than $17 million for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
