Photographer Bruce Weber Sued By Male Model For Sexual Harassment

Jason Boyce alleges that Weber kissed and forced him to masturbate during a photo shoot.

Bruce Weber is the latest public figure to be accused of sexual misconduct.

A male model named Jason Boyce has filed suit against Weber, 71, alleging that the famed fashion photographer sexually harassed him during a photo shoot, the New York Post reports.

According to lawsuit documents obtained by The Blast, the incident occurred in 2014 while Boyce was alone with Weber at the photographer's Manhattan studio. Boyce was 28 and Weber was 68 at the time.

During the shoot, Boyce says he felt "extremely uncomfortable" when Weber, who “was practically straddling” the model, rubbed oil on his forehead and asked him to remove his clothing.

The suit claims that after he pulled down the model's underwear, “Mr. Weber grabbed Mr. Boyce’s arm and moved it back and forth, so that Mr. Boyce was forced to rub his own genitals. Then, Mr. Weber took Mr. Boyce’s hand and placed it on Mr. Weber’s trousers, over Mr. Weber’s genitals. Terrified and repulsed, Mr. Boyce closed his eyes, hoping that Mr. Weber would stop.” Weber also allegedly put his fingers in Boyce's mouth.

After Boyce attempted to leave, "Mr. Weber grabbed him and kissed him on the lips," the suit continues. "Shocked and frightened, Mr. Boyce pulled away. Mr. Weber waved him off, and he left.”

Boyce recalls that Weber said to him, “If you just had confidence, you’d go really far," and asked, “How far do you want to make it? How ambitious are you?”

The model, "worried that he would continue to run into Mr. Weber throughout his career," says he "experienced anxiety, depression, and high levels of stress."

Boyce, seeking unspecified damages, is also suing his former agent and former agency.

Weber, who is married to collaborator Nan Bush, is best known for his iconic black and white photographs celebrating the male form, including ad campaigns for brands such as Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, and Abercrombie & Fitch.
