Bruce Willis And Elizabeth Marvel Are Bringing "Misery" To Broadway

Well, Mr. Man, it's true: Misery, the Stephen King novel turned into one of the bestest movies ever, is heading to Broadway this fall—with Bruce Willis stepping into the role of novelist Paul Sheldon (played by Jame Caan in the film).

William Goldman, who wrote the screenplay for the 1990 Oscar winner, adapted the story for the stage, and Will Frears will direct, having mounted a version of the show at the Bucks County Playhouse in 2012.

Who will play romance-novel-loving, vulgarity-hating, total-wackjob Annie Wilkes?  Broadway vet Elizabeth Marvel, who received acclaim for her work in Other Desert Cities, Picnic, and Hedda Gabler—though TV watchers probably recognize her as Heather Dunbar in Netflix's House of Cards.

We can't wait to see how they tackle the hobbling scene.
