The campy 1999 flick stars a young Lyonne as Megan, a ditzy high school cheerleader who is whisked away to a gay conversion-therapy camp after her family suspects she's queer. Spoiler alert: She is, and she tests the waters with fellow camper Graham (played by none other than out Hollywood icon Clea DuVall).

Other members of But I'm a Cheerleader's all-star cast include Michelle Williams and RuPaul herself. It was the feature-length debut from Babbit, who also developed the story.

2020 is shaping up to be a big year for DuVall. Happiest Season, her highly anticipated feature-length directorial debut, premieres this November. As NewNowNext previously reported, the queer, holiday-themed rom-com also features a stacked cast, including Kristen Stewart, Mackenzie Davis (Black Mirror's beloved "San Junipero" episode), Dan Levy (Schitt's Creek), Aubrey Plaza, and Alison Brie.
