Asian Men Slip Into Iconic Underwear Ads And Look Incredible

“Why the fuck aren’t Asian men considered sexy?”

BuzzFeed producer Eugene Lee Yang poses that burning question in his latest video, for which he and a panel of Asian-American media experts—Jeff Yang, Parvesh Cheena, and David Dang—gathered four everyday Asian-American guys representing "a wide diversity of body types, sexuality, and just general amounts of fuckability."

In an effort to debunk tired stereotypes about sexually inferior Asian men, these nervous dudes, who rarely see themselves represented in the media, stripped down to recreate four famous underwear ads: David Beckham’s 2008 Armani ad, Justin Bieber’s 2015 Calvin Klein ad, Jamie Dornan’s 2009 Calvin Klein ad, and Mark Wahlberg’s 1992 Calvin Klein ad.

Some of the guys struggle with their deep-rooted insecurities when face-to-face with the finished products, but their photos actually look mighty fine.

“I know that I’ll never be like this David Beckham masculinity, but I think seeing this picture lets me own a piece of my own masculinity,” says Nathan, who identifies as LGBT. “There’s so many definitions of what being attractive is, and Asian men definitely fit in those definitions.”

What's the Buzzfeed panel's conclusion? "Fuck an Asian guy," says Dang. "Like, literally."
