Caitlyn Jenner And Diane Sawyer Are Reuniting For Another TV Interview

It will coincide with the release of Jenner’s new memoir, "The Secrets of My Life."

It's been two years since Caitlyn Jenner sat down with Diane Sawyer to publicly discuss her transitioning for the first time. Now the duo are reuniting to mark the anniversary of the groundbreaking interview.

The new special will air April 21, to coincide with the release of Jenner's new memoir, The Secrets of My Life.

“We’re going to make a difference in the world with what we’re doing,” Jenner said in the 2015 interview. “And if the whole Kardashian show and reality television gave me that foothold into that world—to be able to go out there and really do something good, I’m all for it. I got no problem with that."

Since the original sit-down with Sawyer, Jenners has stayed in the spotlight. She starred in a reality series, I Am Cait, for two seasons on E!, made a cameo on Amazon's Transparent and most recently reached out to Donald Trump when he decided to rescind protections for transgender students.

“I have a message for President Trump from, well, one Republican to another. This is a disaster,” the reality star said in a video on Twitter. “And you can still fix it. You made a promise to protect the LGBTQ community. Call me.”

“Things have been moving so quickly that it will be nice to slow things down a bit and take the proper time to reflect on this journey,” Jenner said in a statement about her memoir. “I couldn’t pick a better team, in Grand Central and Buzz, to make sure this story is told with a lot of honesty and care.”

This will be the first time Sawyer and Jenners reunite for a televised interview, but the two have seen one another since their 2015 interview. They attended the 27the Annual GLAAD Media Awards together last year where they honored for Outstanding TV Journalism.

The reunion interview will air on ABC's 20/20, April 21 at 10/9c.
