Caitlyn Jenner Honors Her Trans Friends At GLAAD Media Awards

The reality star revealed what made her cry after season two of "I Am Cait" had finished filming.

Caitlyn Jenner was on hand at the 27th Annual GLAAD Media Awards in Beverly Hills on Saturday night, and revealed just how important her friends and costars have been on her journey after coming out as transgender.

The former Olympian's show, I Am Cait, tied with TLC's I Am Jazz for Outstanding Reality Program, and Jenner took the opportunity to share just how much her costars mean to her.

"You girls have been the backbone," Jenner shared about how much her friends have shaped her life in the past year. "You're my absolute best friends and I know you'll always have my back."

Jenner has faced backlash for her controversial statements and general lack of knowledge about the LGBT community, but her friends and costars on the show — including Candis Cayne and Chandi Moore — have helped the reality star, and viewers across the country, to see just how difficult the average trans experience can be.

"When we finished season two, I mean, I was literally crying because I just couldn’t stand going through life without all you girls around," Jenner said.
