Caitlyn Jenner Says She's Singing A Cover Of "Dude Looks Like A Lady" With Steven Tyler

The Aerosmith classic is apparently one of her favorite songs.

Caitlyn Jenner joked on social media this week about covering "Dude Looks Like A Lady" with Steven Tyler because of course she did.

The reality TV star posted about the forthcoming collaboration on Instagram, writing: "Steven Tyler and I are working on our duet for 'Dude Looks Like a Lady.' One of my favorite songs!"

Jenner later revealed on Jimmy Kimmel Live! that the pair met at the 17th Annual Starkey Hearing Foundation Awards Gala on Sunday in Minneapolis.

"I met him once briefly, but I’m sitting there thinking I have to go say hi," she explained. "So, I go backstage, and I told him, 'I've had some really bad times... I always used to take your song, 'Dude Looks Like a Lady,' and that became my theme song."

Regardless of Jenner's own personal connection to the song, the Internet was quick to blast the trans celebrity for supporting the tune, which is all about a transgender stripper "tricking" a male customer into buying a private dance.

"For fucks sake, don't keep doing things that perpetuate the false idea that trans women are actually men. It's making things more dangerous for every one of us that isn't protected by having a bajillion dollars and being a public figure," wrote one trans reddit user.

"Damn, I'd just as soon see her back in the closet than this kind of thing. As someone who was harassed at my place of work by people calling and playing that song while I was at the store by myself, the very sound of it is horrifying to me," wrote another.

Last week, Jenner told The View that she's been working behind the scenes with top Republicans on issues concerning the LGBT community before later revealing that she's considering a run for Senate.
