Caitlyn Jenner Responded To Trump's Transgender Ban—And Then Twitter Went IN

"Girl, everybody knew he was a liar but you."

After news of Donald Trump's edict prohibiting transgender service members from enlisting and serving in the U.S. military, LGBT activists and celebrities were quick to respond.

But on social media, many wondered what Caitlyn Jenner would say about the news. Jenner had previously insisted she was "working behind the scenes" with Republicans on LGBT issues.

"I got a good in with the Republican Party,” she told The View earlier this month. “As we know, the Democrats do a much better job when it comes to LGBT issues. And I know that, I’m not stupid, but the Republicans need help and I’m there to help them.” (She added that she’s been working with members of the administration but was not at liberty “to talk about it.”)

At about noon East Coast time today, the reality star tweeted a message about the ban that was directed to the president.

"There are 15,000 patriotic transgender Americans in the US military fighting for all of us," Jenner wrote "What happened to your promise to fight for them?"

Twitter was not having it.
