Hunky Country Crooner Cameron Hawthorn Comes Out in Sweet New Music Video

We know whose bed his boots have been under!

Get ready to yell "Yee haw!" because country music cutie Cameron Hawthorn has come out as gay in his new music video.

The Kansas native has released the video for his new single, "Dancing in the Living Room," and the clip features various couples like lesbians who just moved in together and an older couple slow-dancing. The video also shows Hawthorn singing solo and walking home after playing a gig. When he gets back to his house to find his boyfriend waiting for him, they dance together in their living room.

"I remember always thinking how special it was to dance freely with my boyfriend in the living room of our apartment—being gay, it's not as easy to dance as a couple in public together as it is for a straight couple," Hawthorn told The Advocate. "I wanted to express how special that moment is for a couple, when it's just the two of you in the privacy of your own four walls."

More and more country singers have come out in recent years, including Chely Wright, Ty Herndon, Brandy Clark, and Brandon Stansell—whose music video "Hometown" was named one of the 10 best country music videos of 2018 by Rolling Stone.

Can we get him to open for Kacey Musgraves on her next tour?
