"Canada's Drag Race" Crosses International Boundary, Lands on Logo

The cable network will be the U.S. television home of the new series.

Mondays are a drag... again.

Canada's Drag Race is making its U.S. television debut on Logo, the network that originally launched RuPaul's Drag Race back in 2009.

Like last year's RuPaul's Drag Race U.K., the LGBTQ cable net will be the U.S. TV home of the newest international version of the worldwide phenomenon, with Canada's Drag Race slated to premiere stateside on Monday, July 27 at 8pm ET. That's just a few days after the epic finale of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars Season 5, airing Friday, July 24th at 8pm on VH1.

OUTtv, World of Wonder, Crave, and Blue Ant Studios announced last year that Canada’s Drag Race, a Canadian version of the Emmy-winning competition series, was headed our way with Drag Race Season 11 queen Brooke Lynn Hytes as a permanent judge. It was also announced that fellow Canadian cutie Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman and Canadian fashion icon Stacey McKenzie would be joining Brooke on the judges’ panel.

In case you need a Ru-Fresher, the 12 contestants who will be competing for Queen of the North are Anastarzia Anaquway (Toronto, ON), BOA (Toronto, ON), Ilona Verley (Vancouver, BC), Jimbo (Victoria, BC), Juice Boxx (Toronto, ON), Kiara (Montréal, QC), Kyne (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON), Lemon (From Toronto, living in New York City), Priyanka (Toronto, ON), Rita Baga (Montréal, QC), Scarlett Bobo (Toronto, ON), and Tynomi Banks (Toronto, ON).

Crave/WOW

"I don’t want to give anything away. I am such a super fan who does not like any spoilers at all," Bowyer-Chapman told NewNowNext when asked about the upcoming season. "I’d like everything to be a brand-new surprise as I’m watching the show, so I don’t want to ruin it for anyone else. Y’all are in for a treat. These queens, they did not come to play, they came to slay.

The 10-episode first season of Canada's Drag Race premieres Monday, July 27 at 8pm ET on Logo.
