The View isn’t such a full house anymore.
After the recent departure of Raven-Symoné, Candace Cameron Bure announced on Thursday’s show that she was also leaving The View after being a co-host since August 2015.
“It wasn’t an easy decision,” Bure told the co-hosts and audience. “Before I started The View, I already had my commitments to Fuller House and the Hallmark Channel. Because of the success of those, my commitments have become even greater with those shows. … I want to make sure I’m able to spend enough time with my children. I thank everybody … for welcoming me to this table. I’ve learned so much from you and I’m so grateful for you.”
Bure was one of the conservative voices during the show’s Hot Topics discussions, and sometimes her beliefs clashed with the other co-hosts—especially when it came to LGBT issues.
A memorable debate between Symone and Bure occurred last year when Bure defended anti-gay bakeries. “The Oregon law bars businesses from discriminating against sexual orientation, race, disability, age or religion,” Symone said. “And to me, it’s the same exact thing that they did back in the day saying that black people couldn’t do certain things because it’s my ’religious belief.'”
“I think you are comparing apples to oranges here. I don’t think this is discrimination at all,” retorted Bure. “This is about freedom of association, it’s about constitutional rights, it’s about First Amendment rights. We do still have the right to choose who we associate with—but they did not refuse to bake cakes.”
Despite defending the bakers Bure claims that all of her gay friends still supported her. “My favorite part were all the texts that I got from my … very close gay friends that were saying, ‘We love you and we can all have different opinions and you fight for what you believe in ,'” she told E! Online. “And I’m going to fight for what I believe in.”

Bure’s final appearance on The View was not announced but the second season of Fuller House drops this weekend on Netflix.
