Here's some more gay Catholic priest news: Britain's most senior cardinal, Keith O'Brien, is stepping down as leader of the Scottish Catholic Church ahead of schedule. The reason? Accusations of inappropriate actions with priests dating back to the 1980s.

O'Brien had planned to retire when he turned 75 next month, but Pope Benedict asked the cardinal to tender his resignation earlier - one of his last acts as pope. Three priests and one former priest had complained about O'Brien's behavior.

This means that O'Brien will not be able to vote for a new pope, and it also means Britain is without a voice in deciding who the next pope will be. Sorry, Britain.

Perhaps all this gay Catholic news coming out suggests that the times are changing and the church should move in a more inclusive, progressive direction. Or, you know, maybe it's just Satan.
