Carly Rae Jepsen's New Song "Cut To The Feeling" Is The Summer Jam Of 2017

An album reject gets revived on the “Leap!” soundtrack—and gay Twitter is feeling it.

We queened out over a leak of Carly Rae Jepsen's “Cut to the Feeling” back in April, but now she's made it iTunes official.

The track was originally intended for the pop star's E•MO•TION: Side B collection, but it's thankfully ended up on the soundtrack of the animated French Canadian film Ballerina, in which Jepsen also voices a character. This is not to be confused with Justin Timberlake's "Can't Stop the Feeling" from Trolls.

The film, which will be released August 30 in the U.S. and renamed Leap!, also features another original Jepsen song called “Runaways.”

But let's cut to it: Has 2017's "song of summer" race already been won? Gay Twitter certainly thinks so.

Here's "Cut to the Feeling." Listen maybe?
