Carly Rae Jepsen Blesses Our Thursday With "Dedicated Side B"

Pride Month officially begins now.

Hear that? That's the sound of girls and gays everywhere screaming Carly Rae Jepsen's name in unison.

The Canadian pop singer and patron saint of the dance floor has blessed our boring lives in quarantine with Dedicated Side B, an album of add-ons to Dedicated, her fourth and most recent studio album. The "Party For One" singer teased the release on Wednesday with a clever animation posted across social media.

She wasted no time dropping the B-sides, either: The companion album was released this Thursday, May 21 at 9am ET.

Dedicated came out last May, so it was only a matter of time until the pop singer dropped the B-sides à la her 2015 magnum opus E•MO•TION. The record boasts 12 new tracks, including "Comeback," a collab with indie-pop act Bleachers (songwriter and producer Jack Antonoff).

"New tunes for your blues," CRJ wrote on Instagram after dropping the bop-filled Side B. "If this helps in any small way—I’m relieved. Sending you all my love and sharing dis damn side B I’ve been storing in my cheeks."

Looks like LGBTQ Pride Month came early this year!
