When Doug Jones was sworn in as Alabama's newest senator, his out son, Carson, was there to lend his support. But as you can see from Carson's Instagram, he had nothing but shade for the man swearing his dad in: Vice President Mike Pence.

The younger Jones' delivered some epic side-eye to the former Indiana governor, whose record of anti-LGBT rhetoric and policies goes back years.

Instagram followers raised their cups to tea to Jones: "Love your laser look at the moronic homophobe" wrote one commenter. Others chimed in with, "You’re staring Pence down like 'Don’t try me gurl!" and "My goal for 2018 is to reach your level of shade."

Not seen in the picture, though, is the boutonniere the young zookeeper was wearing in his lapel—a rainbow flower pin given to him by the DCHomos
