CBS has bought a new legal drama from out Eastsiders creator Kit Williamson.
Cat's out of the bag! I'm writing a legal drama for CBS! https://t.co/hR6dBVY9ie

Rebel Law centers on an openly gay attorney who returns home to Mississippi to join his family’s multi-generational law practice, as personal and political differences play havoc inside and outside the courtroom.

Written by Williamson (above), the show will be supervised by Royal Pains showrunner Michael Rauch, and co-produced by longtime friends and collaborators Lisa Kudrow and Dan Bucatinsky.

This is Rauch’s third sale to CBS, along with Dr. Death, starring Alan Cumming, and a legal drama about twin brothers who are lawyers, produced by Jennifer Lopez.
There’s no word on casting or when Rebel Law will go into production.
