Here's a reason to pop open a couple bottles of bubbly: A new study from Antioxidants & Redox Signaling claims that champagne can boost your working spatial memory, which is crucial for addition and performing complex tasks.

We'll drink to that!

When rats were given the human equivalent of 1.3 glasses of champagne per week for six weeks, they were able to perform twice as well on a maze test. That's because champagne is chock full of phenolic compounds— the same molecules in red wine that have been shown to reduce the risk of Parkinson's Disease.

Researchers recommend drinking two to three glasses a week for about a year to start seeing memory improvement. You might want to write that down—if you drink champagne like we do, you're going to have a hard time remembering anything in the morning.
