Chanel Made This Cute Cartoon Of Cara Delevingne On A Skateboard Because Badass Queer Women Are Their Brand Now, Apparently

"Gabrielle!"

In a new Chanel ad, an animated Cara Delevingne runs around frantically calling out for "Gabrielle," which, it turns out, is not her girlfriend but the name of the brand's new handbag.

After a brief journey, our heroine manages to pluck not one, but two of the $4,000 purses from a tree branch—one in green and another in blue. She then skateboards gleefully into the sunset with her treasures.

The fashion house commissioned Japanese illustrator Shishi Yamazaki to create the watercolor-like animation.

Delevingne came out as bisexual last year, and dated musician St. Vincent.

Prior to that, the Suicide Squad star quit modeling to focus on acting, saying modeling had "made me feel a bit hollow after a while."

The fashion world may only get Delevingne in illustrated form now, but it's awfully refreshing to see a queer woman dressed as a tomboy, riding a skateboard and calling out a girl's name. Even if it's in an ad for a Chanel handbag.
