Channing Tatum Not Exactly Signed Onto Gay Romantic Comedy Just Yet

Channing Tatum made the gay Internet drop its collective panties this past week when word got out the Magic Mike star would be headlining an upcoming gay romantic comedy from director Paul Feig (Bridesmaids, The Heat).

But don't run to Fandago just yet—Tatum's not actually signed to the role, he's just Feig's dream star (him and the rest of us). Same for SNL player John Milhiser, whom Feig wants to star opposite Tatum as an Average Joe who can't handle the fact he's landed such an Adonis. (Oy, we wish we had such problems.)

Feig mused on his casting wish list at a promotional dinner for The Heat's DVD release and CinemaBlend's Kristy Puchko got the scoop, which NewNowNext and a million other outlets jumped on. But as of today, nothing's been signed.

That's okay, we still want Channing to come to Logo HQ for a pizza party—check out the Logo Hearts Channing campaign for deets!

If Tatum does takes the part, though, he'll be part of a new wave of sexy young things going gay on screen: Daniel Radcliffe is giving up the goods as Allen Ginsberg in Kill Your Darlings and Alex Pettyfer is in talks to play half of an interracial gay spy couple in  Lee Daniels' upcoming action flick.

Hey, if we can get Evan Peters and Aaron Taylor-Johnson in on this, that would be great, kay?

Below, Feig talks to NNN about The Heat, which comes to DVD on October 15.
