Charli XCX has gone viral for… *checks notes* signing a bottle of poppers for a gay fan?
The “Blame It On Your Love” singer was captured on camera raising a bottle of Rush poppers to the heavens while shouting, “Gay rights!” A video of the iconic moment, tweeted out by Twitter user @BobbysByline, quickly went viral, amassing more than 8,000 retweets, 45,000 likes, and a staggering 1.1 million views.

Better yet, the pop singer even autographed the bottle for Bobby, who added that he’s “holding on to this bottle with my dying breath.” Rightfully so.

The Great Poppers Bottle Declaration of September ’19 is Charli XCX’s latest move in her long track record of LGBTQ allyship. She’s collaborated with out artists like Troye Sivan (“1999,” “2099”), Pabllo Vittar (“Flash Pose”), Christine of Christine and the Queens (“Gone”), and more.
She’s also taken criticism from LGBTQ fans when it was dealt her way, too, responding to the queer-baiting controversy over “Girls,” her 2018 collab single with Rita Ora, Bebe Rexha, and Cardi B.
The British-born singer also dropped Charli, her genre-blending third studio album, last Friday, September 13.
