Teen Wolf twins Max and Charlie Carver have signed on to star in the new MTV series Blooms, a crime drama that chronicles the reunion of two estranged twin brothers.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the twins have also signed on to co-executive produce the series alongside Drew Barrymore for her Flower Films production company.
A brief description of the series reads:
The project…is a crime drama/coming-of-age story of twentysomething twin brothers, Andrew and Elliott Bloom, who learn of one another’s existence upon the murder of their father. In turn, they inherit a hand-crafted secret criminal empire he’s left them — with many strings attached. The immorality, corruption and debauchery of their father’s world is deep, and every time they think they’ve reached the bottom it gets worse. The young men are inexperienced but not innocent, vastly different but in many ways exactly the same, with each missing something in his life that only the other can supply.
Blooms will mark the twins’ return to the small screen for the first time since Charlie came out as gay in a January 2016 Instagram post.
“As a young man, I needed a young man in Hollywood to say that [he was gay]- and without being a dick about it, I owe it to myself, more than anything, to be who I needed when I was younger,” he wrote at the time.
Blooms will also be the pair’s fourth TV gig as twin brothers, after supporting roles on Desperate Housewives and HBO’s The Leftovers, and of course, their starring breakout roles as Aiden and Ethan on MTV’s Teen Wolf.
