Charlie Hunnam Stays In Shape By Having Sex As Much As Possible

The “Queer As Folk” alum tells “Men’s Health” how he breaks a sweat.

Charlie Hunnam is literally fit AF.

Promoting his upcoming film King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, the new Men’s Health coverboy tells the magazine that his workout regime goes beyond the gym and between the sheets.

"I’m interested in having a high fitness level across the board," says the 36-year-old Sons of Anarchy star. "Running, swimming, jumping rope, hiking, jiu-jitsu—I try to do it all. I also try to make love as often as I can. That’s an important part of fitness. There’s no reason you can’t be active at 70. I want to run up mountains at that age."

Hunnam also reveals that he exercises so frequently to help ward off feelings of disconnection and depression. "We are supposed to be very active animals," he continues. "It’s our DNA. Sweating is how I change my oil every day. I just feel happier, more positive, energized, and disciplined if I work out."

Maybe Hunnam first learned how to harness the power of sex back in 1999, when he starred as a horny gay teen in the U.K. Queer As Folk.
