Here’s a reason (other than joining in on city people acting all rustic-like) to head out to the Hamptons on Saturday, June 30th—Chef Marcus Samuelsson. If you’re scratching your head at that name—first, shame on you, second, click here to go to school. Screw it. Just know the man’s a one time rising star who actually rose (like, when does that ever happen?).
He’s cooked for Obama, gotten a ton of stars from the New York Times, the James Beard foundation called him the best chef in NYC back in 2003 and, above all, (if you ask us) he has really impressed the judges of Top Chef Masters.
So what’s up in the Hamptons? Montauk resort (a lovely, laid back-chic destination on its own), Solé East, is hosting an exclusive Chef Marcus Samuelsson-prepared, $125-a-head dinner on Saturday, June 30th (two seatings at 6:30 and 9pm) that include a autographed copy of his new memoir, Yes, Chef.
You can reserve by calling 631-688-9739 or emailing marcusdinner@soleeast.com. Aside from eating amazing food from a world class chef, a weekend at the American Tudor classic style resort of Solé East includes a complimentary Yoga class on a private deck that overlooks a pond. Snap.
