Cher has been busy lately. In addition to raising money during the “Hand In Hand” hurricane relief telethon and dragging trolls on Twitter, the stage and screen legend is now a Gap model.
The “Believe” singer teamed up with Future to star in the latest “Meet Me in the Gap” ad, and the two artists sing a cover of “Everyday People” originally by Sly and the Family Stone.
“When Gap said they wanted to team me up with a young artist I knew it would be really beautiful,’” Cher told People. “We had a blast together.”
Cher wasn’t the only one looking forward to the collaboration.
“It was cool to work with someone who is in the industry but has such a different background and life from me,” said Future. “Our love for music really connected us. She’s a true performer and a legend.”
“I couldn’t help but follow her lead and also ask her for a few pointers on stage presence in front of the camera in this type of setting,” he added.
Is this the “surprise project” Cher was teasing on Twitter a few weeks ago? Even if it is we are still holding out hope that she will pop up on this season of American Horror Story, like so many are speculating.
“I got familiar once we got on the stage he rocked a little bit,” Cher told Vogue about working with Future. “It was funny. He was very cute yet shy and really he liked to have fun.”
